Mine didn't start working until I was on it for 8 months and I take more than you do. Although I don't like taking the meds, I now know that I will probably be taking them for the rest of my life. My goal is to stay off of prednisone, but I realize that I may need to take it for a severe exacerbation. For the people who take prednisone on a regular basis are you taking it because of the pain?
